Friary Begging Needs
(updated July 8, 2015)
Got unwanted stuff?
Please bring your donations to the friary. Certain thrift-store charities offer us vouchers in exchange for donations, which we share with the poor. NOTE: no TVs, please. They don't accept them anymore.

Smaller quantities (i.e., not #10-sz cans or 50-lb bags) of nonperishable food. We build food boxes for the poor families in our neighborhood, and we need smaller cans/packages of the following:

Canned or boxed soups
Canned vegetables and/or fruit
Canned chicken and/or tuna fish
Needs for our Prolife Ministry
Used or new vehicles
materials in bulk (we make bags in units of 50)
Useful items include the following: dollar-store gift bags (3 bags for $1); hair ties; nail polishes; mini perfumes or body splashes; socks with feminine patterns; personal-sized hand sanitizers; nail files or small nail kits; mini hand lotions, shampoos, & body washes (packs of 3 at dollar stores); personal-sized tissue packs (packs of 8 at dollar stores); mini notepads and pens; individually wrapped hard candies; small, sealed packs of gum
"Mommy bags" are gift bags that we give to young women outside the abortion centers. We put prolife pamphlets, information on where to get help, and a few small gifts inside them.
We don't put all of the abovementioned items in each bag. The items listed are just examples of things we have used in the past.
unbreaded chicken breasts, other meat (beef, pork, lamb, game, gluten-free sausage), plain nonfat yogurt (gluten free), cheese (gluten free), fresh vegetables
Other: 55-gal black trash bags
Please call the friary (505-990-3001) to verify that these items are still needed and to arrange a drop-off time. Thanks!
